Charities Information Bureau (CIB) provides a specialist service, unique in the Southern half of England, offering information, advice support and training on funding, charity law and miscellaneous information about the charitable and welfare sectors.  Our service works to enable organisations and individuals to win resources to achieve their charitable purposes or personal needs and to increase the competence of the working of charities.

With funding advisers qualified in advising community groups on funding issues in the voluntary sector, the team’s expertise includes:

With 25 years experience in dealing with local groups and organisations in all aspects of funding, CIB has established good working relationships within the community and with local development agencies such as Councils for Voluntary Service.  Through these connections we are able to provide a greater support network for our users which include: voluntary and community groups; individuals; social workers; health workers; pre-schools; Citizens’ Advice Bureaux; local authorities; businesses and schools. 

We also manage a funding information database, which is a comprehensive source of funders for local groups and individuals.  The database holds details of over 1500 funding opportunities, which users are able to access via our website or by telephone, and a comprehensive range of directories, publications, journals and technical information backs up the service.
