Big Lottery have recently announced that they are keen to encourage more applications for 'Awards for All' from the areas of Bristol, Plymouth, Poole, Gloucester and Cheltenham. They are also eager to see more Outline Proposal Forms for their 'Reaching Communities' programme from the areas of Wiltshire (excluding Swindon) and rural Dorset.
They are also keen to attend events that you might be planning in these areas so please contact them, with as much notice as possible, if you would like them to attend.
Awards for All aims to help improve local communities and the lives of people most in need. Recent successful applications have included £4,320 for creating boardwalks for greater access for those in wheelchairs and children in pushchairs to a wildlife area in Devon and £2,095 for arts and crafts work for the over 60's helping them remain active and sociable. Reaching Communities aims to help those most in need and to ensure that communities are involved in helping to deliver the projects. Also to support the best projects that respond to locally identified needs.
