Success story from Cued Speech Association UK

Success story from Cued Speech Association UK
We were really pleased to hear from Cued Speech Association UK who were successful in receiving a very much appreciated grant of £700 as a direct result of information gained from CIB's Funders Database.

Their Project Secretary/Fundraiser, Sue Tweed told us 'We were delighted to receive a grant of £700 in February from The Sir James Roll Charitable Trust after finding out about them from one of your Ready-to-go Funding Packs - a really useful facility. We felt that our work matched their guidelines so contacted them for the first time in October. We sent a one-page letter asking them for core funding, together with our annual report and accounts and some information about Cued Speech, which is a simple system of cues which totally clarify lipreading for deaf children and adults. The grant will help us to provide information, training and support about Cued Speech for the people who need to use it. In these difficult financial times, we are very grateful to funders like these for enabling us to meet demand for our services and also grateful for easy to use facilities like the CIB Funders Database to enable us to find them'.

We would love to hear from you if you have a success story which CIB has helped you achieve! Email me at: sylvia@cibwilts.org.uk
